Obituary of Michael J West

Sadly, we announce the passing of Michael J. West on January 4 th , 2024 at his home surrounded by his close family members. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 7 th , 1950, he is predeceased by his parents John and Norma West. Survived by his wife Melba West, sister Kathy West, son Mike West Jr., daughters Jennifer Garcia and Erica Zimmerman, Grand Children: Dylan, Maia, Megan, Niko, Isabelle and his loyal pet Buddy Boy West. As a proud Marine Veteran, he met the love of his life at the Brooklyn VA hospital. Building a beautiful life in New Jersey together with their twin daughters, he loved spending time by the pool with a cold Coors Light. Michael proudly served in Vietnam before he was wounded in combat, receiving 2 Purple Hearts. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Michael’s honor to Wounded Warrior Project.
