Lois A. Elliott, 79, of Middletown NJ, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024 in Holmdel NJ. Lois was born in Newark, NJ to Alice and George Swanson on May 12, 1944. She graduated from Kearny High School, Kearny NJ. She moved to Point Pleasant Beach, NJ in 1980 and worked at Antrim Elementary School in Point Pleasant Beach for 30 years as a lunch aid and para-professional. She also enjoyed working with animals at Point Pleasant Veterinary Hospital for more than 10 years. Above all, her favorite job was being Mom. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, children and grandchildren, whether at home, the beach or on vacation. Lois is survived by her six children: son, James Elliott (Mary) of Middletown NJ, son, Kenneth Elliott (Erica) of Bayville NJ, son, Sean Elliott (Tina) of Point Pleasant NJ, daughter, Shannon McGee (Tim) of Bayville NJ, son, Wayne Elliott (Donna) of Point Pleasant NJ, son, Brian Elliott (Kelly) of Belford NJ, brother, George Swanson (Beth) of Wayne NJ, sister, Joan Belfiore (Robert †) of Hackettstown NJ, sister, Joyce Hackett (Wayne †) of Foxfire Village, NC, her 10 nieces and nephews, and her 17 grandchildren, Zachary, Brody, Riley, Jared, Ashley, Faith, Owen, Jimmy, Sofia, Logan, Avery, Brock, Olivia, Lilah, Gavin, Jaxon and Zoey. She is preceded in death by her husband, James P. Elliott Jr., mother, Alice Swanson, and father, George Swanson. Funeral mass will be held at St. Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ on Friday March 8, 2024 at 11:30am with Father Robert Schlageter.
