Esther suffered for years with a rare blood disorder called Myelofibrosis. She was a fighter and she was determined to keep going as long as she could, unfortunately, the disease progressed and was incurable. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Dominick DeGregorio. Her son Henry Favire and her recently deceased son, Robert Favire and 8 granchildren, Vincent, Dominick, Salvatore, Justin, Madison, Morgan, Robert, and Zachary. Also, her sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Mike Vanacore. Her niece and husband, Barbara Sutter Decibus and Jay Decibus, as well as two nephews, Edward Sutter and James McCormick. Esther was a very strong willed person who deeply believed in the Lord. She embraced her Puerto Rican heritage and was proud to be a Latino woman. She loved her family dearly and put everyone ahead of herself. Her grandchildren were her life. She was determined to remain independent and live on her own until the end. She enjoyed sitting outside and talking to her neighbors as well as feeding nuts to the squirrels. Everyone who knew her loved her fun spirit and remember her as always having a smile on her face. She is also remembered for making everyone around her feel like part of the family.
