Obituary of Jack Joseph Stanker

Jack Joseph Stanker, 80 of Jackson passed away April 16, 2023 at 11:11pm surrounded by his loving daughters. Jack was born on December 8, 1942 in Jersey City to Joseph Stanker and Winifred Stanker (England). Jack grew up in Keansburg and raised his daughters with then wife, Linda Stanker, in Middletown and Howell NJ. He was a hard worker retiring from Bell Laboratories, Holmdel and Freehold Township Regional High School District in maintenance. Jack was a Seabee in the Navy and loved his military family. He was a life member of the VFW, Lakehurst and a life member of AMVETs Post 2 in Jackson where he held many officer titles throughout the years. He dedicated his retired life to the post in any aspect needed from driving members to VA appointments to waxing the floors to holding the keys to open the building anytime day or night. He lent a hand or tool to anyone in need. He loved to read at the Jackson Forestry Center and watch his NASCAR at the Jackson Moose Lodge #1459 where he was a member and loyal friend to all. He was best known as Uncle Jack or Now Don’t cha Know. He was loved for his loyalty, smile and friendship by everyone he met. He is survived by his daughters Dana Scotto, Jackson and Karen Guilbault (Jesse), Bel Air, Maryland and his four grandchildren Nicole, JD, Joey and Faith. A celebration of Life will be held at the Moose Lodge #1459, 1240 E Veterans Hwy, Jackson on April 29, 2023 from 5-7pm.
