Joanie May, We first met when I was 10 or 11 and we had some incredible laughs over the years. I will never forget your laugh trailing off to…”You better be careful, Maria” or “You said it, Maria”. I always felt so welcome in your house, it was like my second home. Right till the end, you kept us guessing. I’m happy that you are at peace now and I really hope you made it upstairs. I have so many wonderful memories of Joanie over many years. I think back to summer nightly kickball games, holiday bbques and sharing family vacations (can’t forget, as adults, losing her in Mohegan Sun!!). I think the memories that warm my heart the most are of Joanie & Carol’s deepening friendship in later years. They were great companions for each other during their weekly trips to Foodtown, lunches with Martha at Mom’s Diner or simply chatting the hours away. Joanie will be missed but all the great memories will live on. RIP Joanie!

Joanie my mother-in-law I hope you’re at peace now. One of the fun memories that I have with you is taking you to Atlantic City and you winning big and always tipping me a dollar to turn in your winnings. The Halton women each funny in their own right but Joanie was the best of them all! I spent a lot of time with Ange running to the grocery store Joanie’s list in hand. Sitting around the table as Joanie kept us abreast about all her friends “down the line” and her bus trips to Atlantic City. She always had a story to tell, fascinating women! I do hope she found piece in life with her parents. Love you Joanie! You raised such a beautiful women, I thank you for that!
