Obituary of Neal Maher

Neal Maher, 78, of Whiting, NJ, passed away on October 28, 2022, following a brief hospitalization. In accordance with Neal’s express wishes, there will be no memorial service, funeral or burial. His remains have been cremated and the ashes scattered at an undisclosed location. Neal was born on Staten Island, NY on August 29, 1944. He graduated from St. Peter’s High School for Boys and continued his studies at Pace University. Neal was married to Margaret Manna on October 3rd , 2006. They were married for sixteen years. Neal enjoyed a distinguished career of 30 years as an executive manager in Wall Street Banking. He also served his country in the US Army, including a tour of duty in South Vietnam. He enjoyed travel, spending time with his family, and trivia. Neal is survived by his spouse, Margaret Manna, his children, Catherine and Christopher, his grandchildren, Liam, Catie and Tiernan, his sister, Nancy, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Neal was a beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew and loved him. His intelligence, wit and kindness will be remembered always.
