Alice Grega, 78 of Toms River, New Jersey passed peacefully on August 20, 2022.  She was born and raised in Jersey City. Alice was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Grega,  She attended Synder High School where her ‘Creative Writing; class inspired her future career.  She also graduated from Trenton State College. Always employed as a writer, she went from Credit Analyst at Dun; Bradstreet to Fashion Editor at Women's Wear Daily and Simplicity Fashion Magazine to Computer Tech Writer/Consultant. In between she wrote four screenplays.  She was also an avid painter who loved to travel with her beloved companion, Al Stokley (also deceased). Alice is known for her four children’s books titled “The Horse That Couldn't Say Neigh”, “The Pig That Ran Away”, “Docgit and Rocgit Get Mindful; and “Docgit and Rocgit Meet Butterfly Angel;.    She is survived by her loving Sister Frances King and her husband Bill King, nieces Linda King and Patti King-Gould and her fiancé Ron Johnson, nephew Michael King, great nephew Bobby Gould and great niece Sarah Gould as well as many cousins and friends.   There will be a Memorial Service at Ocean County Cremation Service, 1252 Route 37 W, Toms River on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm.
