Obituary of Marie Elaina LaCara

The world lost a beloved person, Marie Elaina LaCara, 79, on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at her home in Brick, NJ. Marie was born in Newark, NJ on May 16, 1942. She moved to Brick in 1979 and was employed at the Township of Brick for many years before retiring. Marie loved her family and friends. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, reading, and spent hours doing crossword puzzles. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her loving son, Gerard Lamola, his wife Anastazia and 2 loving daughters, Diana Lamola and Joann Scutro and her husband, Stan. She is survived by her 8 grandchildren; Angela Carter and her husband Steve, Vincent Lamola and his wife Jana, Michael Lamola, Lilianna Lamola, Christina Miller and her fiancé Cory Holder, Justin Miller, Stosh Scutro, Dana Scutro and her fiancé John Huss and 4 great grandchildren; Alexis and Roman Carter, Brielle and Nicholas Lamola; and her brother John LaMarca and his wife Barbara and niece Anna Pedreiras and her husband Victor and their children Zachary, Isaac and Emma and nephew Michael LaMarca. She will be missed by many cousins and a special friend Joe Zubrowski. Marie is preceded in death by her parents Flora Klein and her husband Gerald, her father Carmine LaMarca and his wife Betty; and niece Theresa LaMarca and the love of her life William Guliana. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 12, 2021, at Ocean Country Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River, NJ from 2:30 - 3:30 P.M. In Lieu of Flowers, a memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
