Obituary of Dayal Chakrabarty

Dayal ‘Chak’ Chakrabarty departed this life on the evening of Wednesday, September 7, 2016. He was close to his two favorite locations, a business that he owned for two decades and a home he lived in for two decades. Chak’s zest for life was unabated till the end. Chak was a rebel and a thought leader. He was born in what is now Myanmar but was raised in India. He had a successful career as an executive in an Indian oil company. At age 50, he immigrated to the United States and embarked on a career as a businessman. Starting from scratch at what for most people is past middle age, he was a successful business owner. He was looking to embark on yet another business before his passing. This would have been a venture where he would have mixed his passion for entertainment with his skilled hand at cooking. Chak’s abiding love was for his son and wife. He is survived by his son Rudy and wife Sandy.
