Obituary of Robert Schmidling

Thank you to everyone who reached out to us about Robert Schmidling. It’s a terrible loss for our family. Bob was a great guy who helped everyone that asked or not. He was full of stories of his childhood and his time in the Air Force. He cherished his wife and were high school sweethearts. This summer they celebrated 55 years of marriage. Bob had the best garden on the block and shared tomatoes every August with the neighbors. His daughter who lived out of state, purposely came home when his tomatoes were ready. He passed down his love of nature and spending time outdoors with his daughters and grandchildren. Bob gave advice but also listened. Having three daughters must have been stressful but he ended up with 4 grandsons and a great grandson (another great grandchild on the way). He taught his children and grandchildren valuable life lessons and they all looked up to him and learned from him. The joys of his life! Bob’s presence will be missed and we will continue to share his stories and life advice with the next generation and the next. He is survived by his wife, Joan Schmidling and his three daughters, Theresa Webber, Tammy Wilson and Kim Bass. And his grandchildren, Shaun Webber, Jamie Webber, Michael Webber and Max Bass and his great grandchild Oakley Webber. RIP Robert Schmidling 77
