Obituary of Adrian Seguiti

Adrian Seguiti, 74, of Brigantine, NJ and formerly Valley Forge, PA; lover of life, food, wine, beach, family and animals, died on August 18, 2016 at home with his family beside him. For the last three years, Adrian battled Pancreatic cancer and what a battle it was. He never gave up and continued celebrating life, traveling between treatments, and playing golf, including walking 18-holes at Bandon Dunes just five months ago. With an extraordinarily adventuresome appetite and an unshrinking desire to learn, try new wines, and converse, Adrian embodied the best of friends, family, and life. He could often be found sampling the best local food offerings from foie gras in France to horiatiki in Astoria. He was a captivating raconteur (a word he would have surely appreciated), especially when his stories involved one of his antics. Those stories would often end with “it seemed like a good idea at the time” and his hardily laughing at himself. He was also fabulously handy whether he was putting in a skylight (to which he promptly fell through while installing) or building a myriad of renovations for and with his children and grandchildren. Alas, words cannot capture the ways and the extent to which he will be missed by his wife of 46 years, Ester, his daughter and her husband, Eva and Jonathan Rosenbloom, his son, Stephen, and his very special twin granddaughters, Lidia and Simone, who know him as Papa, the holder of the magic-suitcase. A luncheon to celebrate his life will be held at SeaView Hotel and Golf Club in early October. Seaview was one of his favorite places. He went there every chance he had.
