Obituary of Carol Naumann Yankosky

 

Carol Naumann Yankosky, 69, of Juliustown, NJ, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 7, 2019 in Beach Haven, NJ.

 

Carol was born in Jersey City, NJ to Arthur and Jean Naumann on July 24, 1949.  She attended Pascack Valley High School, graduating in 1967. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Trenton State.  She worked as a Kindergarten/Pre-First teacher for the Pemberton Twp. School District for 33 years. She proudly served on the Springfield Twp. Elementary School District Bd. of Ed. in the 1990’s.

 

Carol is survived by her loving husband of over forty years, Robert M. Yankosky of Juliustown, her son and daughter in-law, Richard and Jolene Yankosky and their children Calvin and Fiona of Hainesport, NJ, her daughter and son in-law Rebecca and Chris Cataline and their children Jimmy and Molly of Beachwood, NJ.   She also leaves behind her beloved and dedicated “saster”, Barbara Nelson, her brother Richard Naumann, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Jean Naumann.

 

Carol was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt & grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family.  Much of the last decade of her life was spent faithfully attending the various sporting and social events of her beloved grandchildren, who delighted upon spotting her on the sideline or in the audience.  She possessed an uncanny memory & wit, both of which she employed to the end. She loved children, caring for others, cats, watching televised figure skating & gymnastics, going to the “wimpy” gym, newspaper and magazine reading and clipping, as well as thrift shopping, often finding keepsakes and trinkets that reminded her of family and friends.

 

In lieu of flowers, please adopt a kitty or consider making a donation to the Burlington County Library System Foundation.  Funeral services and burial will be private.
