Anthony Donato

Anthony (Tony) Donato, 99, of Totowa passed away on July 12, 2018.  Beloved husband of the late Jane (Crambie) Donato. Loving father of Gayle Donato-Gannon and her husband George.  Grandfather of Alana and Michael Gannon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Josephine Faline, Rita Haines, Gilda Nargiso and by his brother Raphael Donato.  

Tony was born in and raised Paterson and then became a lifelong resident of Totowa.  He attended Central High School. He was also a World War II veteran where he served in the Asian Pacific Theater and was part of the 27th Infantry Division Band.  Tony was a lifelong member of Local 248 American Federation of Musicians where he was also the Vice President Emeritus.  He was also employed as letter carrier for the Paterson Post Office for his entire career. He was also a parishioner of St. James of the Marches Church, Totowa.    

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:30 AM being held at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 501 Broadway, Paterson, NJ.  Interment will be private.
