Obituary of Charles A Popowski
Charles A. Popowski, 88, passed away peacefully in the morning of August 16, 2018 at his home in Mays Landing, New Jersey. He was born to Stauislaw (Stanley) and Wladyslawa Bronislawa (Florence) Popowski on June 4, 1930, and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He was a Class of 1949 graduate at New Jersey School for the Deaf, West Trenton, NJ. Charles married beloved Sally on October 11, 1959, and raised three sons: Stephen (deceased - 1985), Ron, and Tom (deceased - 2008) in Wood-Ridge, NJ. He started his journeyman as newspaper printer in Norristown, Pa for few years after high school before working for Hudson Dispatch in Union City, NJ for 26 years. He later worked as artist paste-up for Daily Record in Morristown, NJ for 5 years before spending his final 10 years with The Record in Hackensack, NJ. In 2001, Charles and Sally moved to Everett, Washington and spent 8 years there before moving back to NJ in 2009. Charles is survived by Ron and his three children: Sima, Trista, and Trent (all in high school now), and Charles’s sister Dorothy. Thanks to many of you who have enriched his life filled with good spirits and happiness.
