I'm so saddened to learn of Cheri's passing. She fought a good fight! I rarely go on facebook and just happened to see the post on Aunt Helen's page. Dee and Dale, I pray you are remaining strong. Unfortunately, I know how it feels to lose a daughter and even though it has been nearly 4 years, there are still moments when the grief overtakes me. My God Bless You All! My love, Elaine

Not just now but always you are and will be in my thoughts and prayers. I never met Cheri only through you Darlene but as my cousin I wish i had. She accomplished so very much and was a beautiful woman daughter wife and mother I can see that. My wish for you is to find peace somehow and know that Cheri is always with you. Years ago you sent your thesis to me and I saw in the openng paragraphs your interest in respecting and lifting up the diversity you saw around you. Your concern that students of all backgrounds cultures and races were treated equally in education stands as a gold standard for me and all those that I teach. I loved your humor and your courage.
