Obituary of Robert Urie Sr.

Robert "Bob" Urie Sr 94 of Whiting passed away peacefully on September 29. Born in Bayonne NJ he resided in Whiting NJ for the past 20 years.  He had a successful career  as a machinist. He was a WWII Veteran Bronze Star Recipient. He was a member of the VFW American Legion and the Elks. He is predeceased by his late wife Veronica Moore Urie and son in law Timothy Gatta. Surviving are his daughter Patricia Urie Gatta Toms River, his son Robert Urie Jr his wife Joanne Ortley Beach. 5 grandchildren Deeanne Gatta/Salter, Nicole & husband Michael Kohut,  Sean Erik and wife Alyssa Urie & Rob and wife Chrissy Urie. 4 great grand children Sarah and Tyler Salter, Alyssa and Brianna Kohut, Clay and Fin Urie. 
He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends. 
A Commemorative Ceremony will be held at the VFW Post 2652 Lacey Rd Forked River NJ October 7 2017 at 3:00.
