Obituary of Wayne A. Asony

 

Age: 67 – Whiting

 

Wayne A. Asony of Whiting NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 19, 2017 at Community Medical Center, after a very courageous battle with cancer, Wayne was born in Newark, NJ, raised in Irvington, NJ/Brick, NJ and moved to Whiting, NJ in 1980.  Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Carol, daughter Melissa, and his sister, Priscilla Magnotti, of Brick, NJ.

 

Wayne graduated from Essex Catholic High School and Kean Collage with a Master’s Degree in Education.  Wayne taught at Lake Riviera Middle School in Brick, sixth and seventh grades, for 25 years before retiring in 2004. His hobbies were tending to his greenhouse and ocean fishing.  He was a friend to all who knew him.  

 

At his request, no public services will be held.  A gathering of friends, neighbors and fellow teachers will take place on September 15, 2017, in Brick, NJ, to celebrate his life.
