Obituary of Linda L Allan
Linda L. Allan, 69, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, from acute myeloid leukemia. Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Joseph and Rose De Matteo, she was a longtime resident of Staten Island before retiring to Greenbriar Oceanaire Community & Golf Course in Waretown, NJ. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, nana, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Linda had an infectious personality that would brighten up any room. She enjoyed spending time with her family (especially spoiling her grandchildren), relaxing at the beach, reading, watching movies and playing billiards. She was also an avid traveler who loved taking cruises and exploring new and exciting places. Later, Linda really enjoyed playing Mahjong and going on day trips with her friends from Greenbriar.
She is survived by her loving husband James of 46 special years; her son James Jr. and his wife Melissa; her daughter Jennifer Rose Levoi and her husband Richard; her five grandchildren, Christian, Emma, Michael, Aiden and Sophia; her brother (and best friend) Joseph De Matteo and her sister Carmela Erickson. She also leaves behind her uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Ocean County Memorial Park Cemetery, 280 Wells Mill Road, Waretown, NJ 08758.
