Obituary of Richard Edward Doyle

Richard Edward Doyle, 77, passed away on July 8, 2026. Born on December 1st, 1948, in Plainfield, New Jersey. He grew up in Linden and then retired to Union. He graduated from the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf in West Trenton, New Jersey in 1970. He worked as a printer for 35 years. Known as “Richie” to his family and friends. He was a proud Irishman, deeply involved with his Catholic faith, and an avid storyteller. He had wicked sense of humor and made everyone feel welcome. He is survived by a nephew Jeremy Cordaro and his wife, Colleen, niece Hilary, and her husband Malcolm Rosenthal, and his great nieces and nephews Brendan, Thomas, William, and Charlotte. A Catholic Mass will be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart 89 Ridge Street Newark, New Jersey on July 15th at 3:30pm.
