Obituary of Peter Kenny

Peter Kenny passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on July 6, 2026. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Peter spent most of his life in Jackson, New Jersey, where he and his beloved wife, Nancy, raised their family together. Nancy was truly the love of his life. Peter was a proud veteran of the United States Army and dedicated many years of service at Lakehurst Naval Base, retiring in 2001. A devout Christian, Peter lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to his family. He will be remembered as a faithful husband and son, loving father, doting grandfather, (PopPop) cherished brother and uncle and a kind, steady presence to all who knew him. Peter was predeceased by his loving wife, Nancy Kenny (O'Connor). He is survived by his children: Peter Kenny Jr. (Stacy), Glenn Kenny (Janis), Renee Pica (Michael), and Brian Kenny (Cerity); his brother, Ted Kenny of Middletown; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren: Megan, Holly, Gianna ("Gigi"), Kayla, Ian, Nicole ("Niki"), Lilliana ("Lilly"), Julia ("Jules"), and Brandi, all of whom brought him immense joy. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ocean County Cremation Services 1252 Route 37 West Tom's River, New Jersey 08755
