Obituary of Elaine Fiducia

It is with a heavy heart and profound love that we announce Elaine Fiducia ( Dobrowolski), age 70, of Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, after a difficult journey with lung cancer. Born on, September 16, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Stefan and Helen (Marcinek) Dobrowolski. She was raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Elaine lived a life filled with laughter, generosity, and love. She devoted her life to her family and faith, raising her three children with love and patience. She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. Elaine loved birdwatching, taking walks with her beloved companion, Anya, and spending time on the water boating. A true wine enthusiast, she appreciated, sharing good wine and good company with family and friends. Above all, Elaine cherished time spent with her grandchildren and treasured many adventures she and Bill had while traveling in their motorhome. She lived a full and remarkable life. Elaine’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone she encountered and her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved her. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted partner, William Nelms, who she shared 30 wonderful years with. She is survived by her children, Derek (wife Michele) , Heather ( fiancé Douglas Monaco), and Frank; three grandchildren Stella, Lincoln and Billy; and sisters, Debra Avino and Christine (Sweden). A celebration of life will be held at Bayside Chapel, 965 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005 on July 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or ASPCA.
