Obituary of Gina Marie Kwortnik

Please share a memory of Gina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gina M. Kwortnik, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished daughter, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on September 25, 2025. Her unwavering love, joyful presence, and all her light and laughter left a lasting mark on all who knew her. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Gina grew up primarily in the small beach town of Lavallette, where she developed a deep love for family and sunshine. She studied psychology at The College of New Jersey (known as Trenton State College at the time), preparing her for a life devoted to nurturing others. In 1996, she married the love of her life, Victor Kwortnik, and together they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and commitment. Gina’s greatest joy was dedicating her life to being a full-time mother to their two children, Victoria and Evan. She poured her heart into creating a warm and supportive home where her children could thrive, always putting their needs and dreams above her own. Gina had a natural gift for making others feel seen and loved. Whether it was a listening ear, a heartfelt note, or a home-cooked meal, she had a way of showing up exactly when and how someone needed her. Her warmth extended beyond her family, touching friends, neighbors, and anyone lucky enough to cross her path. Gina was a lover of all holidays, especially Halloween, and spending summer days swimming in the pool with her kids and dogs. She read books astronomically quick, enjoying some of her favorites such as Harry Potter, Trixie Belden (a childhood favorite), and Agatha Christie. She always looked forward to the next girls’ night and could bring a fun energy into any room she walked into. Gina loved going on her Disney and Universal trips with her family and was always singing songs on repeat in the kitchen, no matter her audience. Above all else Gina lived to cheer her kids on, never missing a single baseball or softball game, driving them to all their practices – singing songs together on the way there too! She is survived by her devoted husband, Victor J. Kwortnik; her children, Victoria M. Kwortnik and Evan J. Kwortnik; her beloved fur babies, Penny and Maisy; her parents, Joseph and Judith Campo; and her brother, Joey Campo. Each of them carries forward her legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love. Gina’s life was a quiet, beautiful testament to the power of a mother’s love, perseverance, and unwavering bravery in the face of all life’s challenges. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on 685 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ 08753, at 10 am on Friday, October 3rd. Family and friends are welcome to a Celebration of Life after the mass. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made in Gina’s honor to Mary’s Place By the Sea (Mary's Place by the Sea Donation (In Memory Of) - Mary's Place by the Sea), a place that Gina met lifelong friends and received unmatched support during difficult times, or the American Cancer Society (Donate Today | The American Cancer Society), towards cancer research. https://www.marysplacebythesea.org/product/wc-donation-marys-place-by-the-sea-donation-in-memory-of/ https://donate.cancer.org/?campaign=honormemorialmedia&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Bing_ACS_BR_All_Donation_New%20Donor_Generic%20Alpha_11284&utm_term=american%20cancer%20society&utm_content=BR_Generic_ExactPhrase
